I also saw Roy Orbison on a Saturday night, 3 days before his premature death. There was a very somber note to the show and the security at the gates was intense even though it was not open seating as Cleveland was. I saw The Who's next show after the tragic show in Cleveland where 11 people died. There were several concerts that were memorable for sad reasons. The ones where I have a fuzzy memory I can attribute to too many beers before the main act came on.
It was fun compiling the list which brought back vivid memories of many of the shows. Here is my list, nowhere near as comprehensive as many of the other lists in this thread. THE WHO / VARIOUS - QUADROPHENIA LIVE PREMIERE THE WHO (with Simon Phillips / Tim Gorman) RICK WAKEMAN and the English Rock Ensemble
I keep remembering more bands I have seen.ĭEEP PURPLE (Ian Gillan = 38 piece orchestra)ĮRIC CLAPTON BAND (with Andy Fairweather-Lowe) Or Semaphore Workers Club here in Adelaide and I did take Many other Aussie blues and rockabilly combos at The Gov
I don't think these will be in order because my memory for the years attended is vague at bestīut here goes including support bands i can recall it looks a bit like this.(* Aussie or NZ acts)
